I know Fritz 5.32 doesn't have position learning. Are the differences due to - different bookmoves at the end of the book variant(s), and/or - position learning of Junior 8, if this engine has that feature? (I don't have Junior 8.) Another possible reason could be, that hash content has been kept between games... but I doubt that, as your descriptions sound as if this is from a normal match (IOW., games with reversed colours in between?). Furthermore I remember to have read, Junior varies the time spent during the first calculated moves after the book. This can cause different moves too. I'm not 100% sure if that remark was about Junior and/or other engine(s) though. All games are identical up to 16.d3... maybe this was the last bookmove from both books (?). Regards, M.Scheidl
