Subject: Test position compromising the king's safety

This is just a variation on another position posted not long ago, and on a
typical position where the king's safety is at stake:

[d]r1bq1rk1/1p2bppp/p3p3/1n2P3/4N3/1P1P1N2/PB4PP/R3QR1K w - - 0 1

In the previous position, the 1.Nf6 move seems good even if the engine is not
aware of its potential, but in this one the engine must understand the black's
defence weaknesses in order to quickly find the line. Otherwise it's just a
matter of plys!!

Of course, there are other good moves for white, such as 1.a4, that eventually
leads to 2.Nf6! But nothing seems faster and harder than 1.Nf6!

Ruffian 1.05 doesn't see reaching depth 14 after 1:34 minutes with 128 Mb Hash
(Athlon 1800+, 512 Mb DDR).

I bet this is an easy test for the CM.

Regards,

 Jaime
