It sounds like you would have been better served by buying a used paperback
book. Bitmaps probably don't print out very well. I once bought a technical book
in ebook format and regretted it. The first token was lost somehow, but Amazon
issued me a second. Fortunately I could easily print the book from ebook reader
because the document allowed it, but in the end I would have been better off
just being patient and ordering a printed copy. I found the ebook interface just
awful, much much worse than a normal Acrobat pdf file so that's why I wanted to
print it. Maybe it's improved, but I fear that if I upgrade the ebook reader,
then I'll lose rights to view that book.
