I was knocking out some positions with Rebel 10, when I tried what I thought would be a simple stock sac that Rebel 10 would find easy. [Site "?"] [Date "????.??.??"] [Round "?"] [White "Fischer"] [Black "Larsen"] [Result "*"] [Annotator "Young,M"] [SetUp "1"] [FEN "2r3k1/2r1ppb1/3p2p1/pq4Pn/1p1BP3/1B3P2/PPPQ4/1K1R3R w - - 0 1"] [PlyCount "0"] The Key move is RxN !, Rebel instead finds even after 10 min. BxB. All the programs I tried Junior 5, Fritz 5, Crafty 15.18, ect. ect , find RxN! in a matter of a few seconds. My question is (a) Is BxB just an alternative winning line in this position that Rebel 10 prefers? (b) Is BxB just a misevaluation that all programs do in certain types of position?
