Centrino and Pentium M can casually be considered the same; Centrino notebooks, to be labelled such, must contain a Pentium M chip and Intel Wireless card. Some manufacturers are using non intel wireless chips so they're technically equivalent to Centrino. They're are a bunch of test apps out there (such as Sisoft Sandra) but if you're just interested in Chess stats, someone may have a few test positions to run that'll test performance.
