I suspect the general consensus is that testing conditions should be a matter between author and SSDF. Not the arbitrary opinion of chessmaster groupies. It doesn't require a lot of common sense to conclude that the setup is faulty. As I mentioned in our previous discussion, testing should be performed on the "out of the box" object. And secondly, that testing should be conducted without advantages or disadvantages (within reason), or not at all. Book and settings obviously violate both. Without book isn't acceptable either.
