No, the Xeon still uses the Deschutes core, i.e., no on-chip L2 cache.

I think "Tanner" is supposed to be the Xeon with the Mendochino core.

The PPro, PII, and Celeron are all approx. the same processor. You're right,
there's basically no functionality difference. Just tweaks...
