When we began the Computer Chess Reports in 1983 with
Enrique at the helm, we made the decision that to keep
expenses down; all subscriptions would end each year on
the same day no matter when someone signed up.

Consequently, if you signed up 6 months into a subscription,
you received the back issues as of that point in time and then
all issues that came thereafter until the subscription ended
for everyone. We tried to make this very clear in all our
promotions.

CCR went to the web in September of 1996 for a fee and came
here to CCC to roost in October 1998 for free.
