Hi CCC members, Dear Mr. Vidanovich, With regard to your posting I have to say something too. It is not my place to give any public comments to this matter (why you were degraded to a pawn status). I do not have full access to all data, as a master-admin has, so I have to ask other SysOp colleagues. It was never my intention to give you Mr. Vidanovic the feeling that you’re a dunce in my eyes. I’m not that informed who is who in computer-chess world and your name was first introduced to me on Saturday (not Friday as you wrote in your posting). I would like to mention that Mr. Vidanovic was all the time polite to me regardless the misfortune that happened to him. On Playchess.com I’m often logged in for 24 hours with different nicknames (MagicLieske, Ultimate Fighter and Holger_Lieske) but of course I’m not all the time at the computer. It may take some time until I get a message and reply (this is noted in my personal notes). I gave Mr. Vidanovic the usual advice on how he could get a higher rank (completing personal info and relogin). After this procedure had failed I asked a SysOp colleague. Of course an answer may take some time and I told it to Mr. Vidanovic. In that time of waiting, I’ve asked Mr. Vidanovic, whether it is possible that his chat behaviour could have been the reason for his degration to Pawn rank. He said no. In the meantime I have received six server-mails and some requests by him, he was a bit impatient, which is understandable. Again it was never my intention to accuse you of anything, to let you wait more time than needed, or to show disrespect. Holger Lieske
