i'm using ECM98 for testing purposes, and i found two positions with alternate solutions (i think): ECM.018 bm Nxd6 [D]r3rbk1/1pq2ppp/2ppbnn1/p3p3/P1PPN3/BP1BPN1P/2Q2PP1/R2R2K1 w - - 0 1 intended solution: 1.Nxd6 Bxd6 2.Bxd6 Qxd6 3.dxe5 +- alternate solution: 1.Bxd6 Bxd6 2.Nxd6 transposes ECM.614 bm Qxf7+ [D]5r2/pp1RRrk1/4Qq1p/1PP3p1/8/4B3/1b3P1P/6K1 w - - 0 1 intended solution: 1.Qxf7+ Rxf7 2.Rxf7+ Qxf7 3.c6! bc6 4.bc6 Be5 5.Bd4! +- alternate solution: 1.Rxf7 Rxf7 2.Qxf7+ Qxf7 transposes am i missing something? is anybody still maintaining ECM98 officially? did i download an old version of this? is there a newer version? questions, questions :-) i got my version of ECM98 on scott gasch's monsoon site: http://wannabe.guru.org/scott/hobbies/chess/ECM.EPD cheers martin
