I do. There are certain people in CCC whose posts I always read, whatever the
topic is. I miss them when they disappear for a week and hope it's just because
they're on holiday.

>Who cares what some/one said or didnt say?, unless they know them personaley.

I do. I value the opinions of many of the CCC regulars, even if I disagree with
them.

It's not a matter of who is smarter than who, but there are certain members of
CCC who know a lot more than I do about certain topics, and I respect them for
that. When I say (for instance) "Eugene Namilov knows more about endgame
tablebases than I do" I'm not expressing a lack of self-confidence. But I'm not
saying that Eugene is smarter than me, because I bet I know more about 19th
Century German theology than Eugene does :)

I only care if someone's English is so bad that I can't understand what he
means. But that's rarely the case.

I care, if someone is posting a computer analysis. The computer's speed can be
very relevant.

Actually, I'd say that almost everybody who visits this forum cares about how
fast (and by extension how good) chess programs are. If you don't care about it,
why are you wasting time in this forum?

I do care about who is a better chess programmer, and I do have my own opinions
on the subject, but I would never insult anyone by making a list.

I also care about money. I find it grossly unfair that the best football players
earn millions, while the best chess programmers are relatively poor and usually
need another job to pay their bills.

I do. I care very much about hurting someone else's feelings. Don't you? You
ought to. Just because you don't know someone personally, it doesn't mean you
can be nasty to him.

>Who care about CCC?

I do. I open up the CCC message board at least once a day. I spend a lot of time
reading messages, even though I don't write many messages myself. I wouldn't say
that my life revolves around CCC, but it's been part of my life for more than
four years.
