When I say (for instance) "Eugene Namilov knows more about endgame tablebases than I do" I'm not expressing a lack of self-confidence. Actually, I'd say that almost everybody who visits this forum cares about how fast (and by extension how good) chess programs are. If you don't care about it, why are you wasting time in this forum? I do care about who is a better chess programmer, and I do have my own opinions on the subject, but I would never insult anyone by making a list. I also care about money. I find it grossly unfair that the best football players earn millions, while the best chess programmers are relatively poor and usually need another job to pay their bills. >Who care about hurting some/one eles feelings, unless you know them >personley. I do. I care very much about hurting someone else's feelings. Don't you? You ought to. Just because you don't know someone personally, it doesn't mean you can be nasty to him. >Who care about CCC? I do. I open up the CCC message board at least once a day. I spend a lot of time reading messages, even though I don't write many messages myself. I wouldn't say that my life revolves around CCC, but it's been part of my life for more than four years.
