I played a "centaur" on Playchess twice and it was no contest, he cleaned my clock and also was a very nice person. ICC has two very strong "centaur" types Lat1 and Workuta in the "C" accounts. I believe the latter is a titled IM and let me tell you, they are very difficult to beat if at all. They are all a pleasure to play, all seem to be gentlemen and since I am not a "points" whore I don't care if I lose at all! Could only manage a draw with Kiriakov using CM 9000 @ ~ 45 mins some time ago. He is also a very good anti-computer GM. Unfortunately many accounts on Playchess are sissies because they want to protect their points and won't play some of these "centaur" type accounts. I guarantee you that it is a pleasure to watch them destroy my Shredder program. All games were at least 20 10 and longer. Was asked on another site about the possibility of playing an undisclosed GM for promotion and of course I would like to. It is alleged this GM is Anand .......... but I don't know. Unless I can get on another stronger computer he will destroy me on my P3 1000mx and probably will do so anyhow on any other computer I can use........ For the life of me I cannot figure why all the recent GM/Program exhibitions were drawn if my games are any indication. Must be my weak hardware, opening book or the big multi-processor machines used by Chessbase. I don't know......... DHM
