Since you asked me who is trolling, I ought to tell you that it is you. If I had put words in your mouth, which is I think the foundation of the off-topic character assassination thread, they might be,"Thank you for replying," or "You may have a point. Could you tell me more specifically about <x>?," or "I don't think I can agree with you. I feel to passionately about this to discuss it now!" I probably would not have resorted to this sort of ad hominem to muddy the waters, hoping for creating an apparent parity between our two positions on a computer chess issue by burying it in vitriole. I mean, if you didn't think you had more chances of "winning an argument" instead of having a discussion, you probably would have stuck to the issue assuming you have the tenacity of character and the concentration of a chessplayer to do so. By interjecting rhetorical criticism and questions of personal character into this discussion, you seem to have risked more than I did. So don't do it again. I won't pretend I am more of a gentleman than you are, because a gentleman would say nothing when he is insulted and end the matter.
