I've played over all the recent 40/2 Junior games posted here by Mark and Hans. One nice trend in Junior's play is that it seems to consider lines that are forced. By this I mean it goes into piece exchange lines quite readily and the result is almost always a better position for itself. One nice example of this is the Uri Blass post on how Junior defended a tough position (the Bf6 post) by simply giving back some material and exchanging Queens. This was to me an excellent sequence of moves. This is humanlike, that forceful exchanges are considered in considering what move to play. > >6r1/2rp1kpp/2qQp3/p3Pp1P/1pP2P2/1P2KP2/P5R1/6R1 w - - id "Shirov - Krasenkov"; >bm Rxg7; > >( PS Fritz are still working no the solution in the background )
