When you say you would give Anand a rematch do you mean a rematch under
the same conditions as the first match or would you accept whatever terms for a
rematch that Anand cared to propose? Would you for example accept an 8 game
rematch with all games at tournament time control and for 10 times the prize
fund of the first match.
I think if the truth be known Kasparov wants a rematch about as much as
IBM does. Both sides are afraid they would lose. Certainly if Kasparov really
wanted a rematch they are many things he could be doing that would make it
awkward, PR wise, for IBM to deny him one indefinitely. However I suspect he is
happy enough with the present situation.
