There is no need for a cost-benefit analysis, as the question was "is there a way to upgrade my operating sytem so media player 9 will work". The answer is not "a cost-benefitan alysis will tell you that you shouldn't upgrade", the answer is "if you want to run WMP 9 you minimally need Win98SE". If Joseph's answer is "I simply _want_ to run WMP9", he'll have to update. It's not an economical issue, it's a technical one. J.
