I suppose we need to paranthesize what is meant by the strongest chess program.
There is no doubt that Shredder is the leader of Chess Programs in Comp
tournaments-- ro maybe little doubt.
We are then left with the impression that Friedel and friends are refering to
anti-Human play, not engine matches when they laud their DeepFritz product.
I do not think the answer is clear though, Shredder deported well in Argentina
against titled players while Hiarcs met Bareev with good games.

One might suppose that the DF Kramnik match might give them some steam. since
Gari already played Junior this year, would he get any Prss Coverage should he
do it again?

If Deep Fritz ever replaces Radjabov or Vallejo-Pons in Linares, and scores
acceptably, that would shake the world.
