Great to hear from you, Volker. Any weekend in January would be great. I don't think anybody wants to wait until February or March. It would be nice to get some predictability into the scheduling of this event. I'd like to propose that we pick a weekend in January, and stick to it for all future events. It would be great to know that the CCT tourney is always the 3rd weekend in January, for example. Does anybody know of any other computer chess events that regularly occur in January or February? Oh, one point for discussion. What do people think about adding a 10th round? The event is getting bigger each year, and last year the top programs were stilll facing either other in the final round. If people are concerned about the event ending too late on a Sunday, we could consider slightly shortening the time control. I don't feel strongly about this - whatever the group wants. -Peter On November 07, 2003 at 12:19:15, Volker Richey wrote: >Hi, > >i need some suggestions for the date of the next CCT6 >Computer Chess Tournament for Programmers only!!!! > >between End of January and end of March 2004 > >More informations and rules look at: >http://www.vrichey.de/cct6 > >Last CCT5: >http://www.vrichey.de/cct5 >Winner 2003: Ruffian after Tiebreak with Crafty and Yace. > > >volker
