As experienced player with ~2200 ELO you should know that IMs/GMs rarely analyze
in blitz games. It's all about human intuition and experience.
Most probably he knew that pattern and found the idea immediately when he saw
the position on the board. Maybe immediately after he played the forced g6.

GM Knaak suggested to disqualify those players due to "clear cheating" after
"careful analysis".
I don't know where he exactly saw a clear evidence of computer assistance.

It was pure speculation on my part.
