After 11.0-0-0 My Fritz 8 would play exactly the same moves until 16...De7.
So it was possible to work out the win at home.

Maybe they thought Kasparov is able to win the position after 11...Qf6 OTB or
better in front of the X3D screen.
I am sure the position after 12...Nxf2 is somehow lost for black.
