 My 0.02$.
 Against 1. d4 he would do well to play his old favourites Kings Indian and
Grunfeld. While the openings are tactical in nature computer play in them are
abominations. In the Grunfeld the long range strategy is well beyond calculation
range. And KID is about slow king side attacks.
 Against 1. e4 he should play his beloved Sicilian defence. And the best shot
would probably be to either play his hybrid Scheveningen or Najdorf with e5.
Both he knows well and the e5 complex of the Scicilan is about long term
strategy.
