Hope to do something like this for messchess someday. So right now , when chompster plays , either it does not use EGTB or it uses the webservice for position lookup ? Wont the latter be awfully slow ? Why not just have some JNI code to invoke Nalimov's C++ code (if this is permitted that is) ? Would be glad to help in case you need any.
