you don't believe it, but i'm sure you could. it's a skill that you learn, like
most other things too. i know a guy with 1700 who can play blindfold. not that
he'll play really well blindfold, but he can definitely do it. in a junior camp
one of the trainers with 2200 played blindfold against 4 opponents
simultaneously. he won 3-1...

i have a higher rating than he did at the time, but i can't do that. i have
played blindfold, but it gives me a headache. i won against 1600 players, rather
easily. if you practise this, you can learn it.

it is not important to me to get to a good level in blindfold chess either :-)
all i'm arguing is that you can practise this, and if you do you can get good at
it. but hardly anybody does that, there are just better things to do...
