Kasparov has played KID throughout his entire career, and has demolished every
great player in any variation of KID, including Bayonet.

Bayonet is not better and no worse than other continuations for white. It is
simply more popular now. I personally don't find it any impressive. As black I
have played KID since I was 5 years old, and never had any problem with it, even
against players stronger than me (including victories against a good deal of FMs
and several IMs). And as white I prefer Samisch.

Yesterday's match simply reconfirmed that the KID formation gives black a
comfortable game, with good winning chances. I fail to see how some people have
reached the conclusion that KID is weak, only based on Kasparov's one move
blunder...
