Hello Bob, The tasc chess system is a training system wich is nadapted by the dutch chess organisation. It teaches chess fromm the pure beginning to avareage club level. Say about 1800 elo fide. USCF would be a litle highrer. In the fist 5 steps you learn the basic principles. Theoretical explanation ans study progtram. The system is very good tot understand basic priciples and tactics. It does not learn actual opening moves but then again it teaches general rules wich can give you healthy positions. There is also a step 6 fore trainers and the top youth studies with step 7. I guess step 7 levels above 2000 fide elo, I can advise evreyone to take the course. In the later period you can sharpen youtselfe with other systems. Included is chessica a window based chess computer also known as........... Fritz 3 The company is bankrup wich is the sad result of a long court fight. Tasc is also known fore the fine chessboard wich you can play with the shredder classic version. I use one fore training my children and i love it. The tasc chess system program is to be sold less then 10 euro's nowedays Don't know what prize you pay abroad. May the wind swiften youre kites and the sun illuminate youre chesspieces Kiteman On November 13, 2003 at 10:09:19, Bob Durrett wrote: >On November 13, 2003 at 01:16:11, Eye Witness wrote: > >> 1.Does anyone know what level of player this is for, and if it is any good? >> >>2.
