Hi Chest-friends! Although I was rather sure, that I´ve reached the end of my ChestUCI development, in the last week I had two interesting ideas of further improvements, which I now have implemented and want to be available to other Chest users too: 1) now whenever Chest has found a solution, ChestUCI immediately shows the key mo ve, while Chest is going on to search for possible further solutions! So you can see earlier, if (and when) a solution is found, and the result is bett er comparable with other programs. (Also, if this solution or key move would be enough information, you can stop the whole calculation at this time) 2) there´s now a new engine option ´AllSolutions´: (set to ON by default) If you switch OFF this option, Chest only searches for the FIRST solution of a pr oblem, displays it and then stops immediately! This can reduce the complete calculation process dramatically, if you are either interested only in ANY solution, or you know for sure that only ONE solution exis ts. So I hope, that I didn´t promise too much - at least _I_ find these 2 features very practically. ;-) This new ChestUCI-Ver.2.8 is downloadable (as usual) from Alex´ UCI-homepage: http://www.uciengines.de/UCI-Engines/Chest/chest.html My best wishes to all chess friends, Franz.
