stuart, I wanted to tell you that chessbase did introduce that intelligent chatter function you asked for. When I run the latest CB gui, there is a window pane called 'explain every move'. As I play Fritz8 with this window open, written chatter discusses which candidate moves are good or bad and why it is so. Sometimes leaving this window open gives buggy results and the program stops responding. I am sure it steals enough clock cycles to slow Fritz performance, but that is a non-issue in a tutorial situation. -Marc
