Hi Crafty users!

Crafty16.1 seams to be the first version of Crafty that solves the famous
Steinitz-Lasker position also known from BT2630 where it is Pos 16.
FEN:2krr3/pppb1ppp/3b4/3q4/3P3n/2P2N1P/PP2B1P1/R1BQ1RK1 b
For my PPro 233MHZ whith a two processor board Crafty takes 4:28 min to find
Nxg2 on ply 10. Rebel has always been very good in solving this position.

For the also famous position from Sanz vs. Ortueta (Madrid 1934)
FEN:8/pR4pk/1b6/2p5/N1p5/8/PP1r2PP/6K1 b
Crafty16.1 is still very good. Crafty takes 36 sec to find Rxb2, whereas
Rebel is known to have problems whith this position, at least versions < 10.

However wcrafty-16.1-smp.exe as provided by Bob Hyatt's ftp site does still
not work with the cache statement under WinNT4.0. So the efficient use of the
new tablebases is impossible. Crafty is too much slown down. Could someone
who is experienced whith Crafty code and WinNT have a look at this Problem
please?

Kind regards
Bernhard
