Indeed, but the humiliation must be appalling; were it not so drawn out and
untelegenic the whole thing would be high up in the litany of "sporting howlers"
(three-foot putt to win the Open missed and all that).

As Kurt Utzinger first noted, all conspiracy theories are moot because no
commercial organisation would ever deliberately subject itself to falling so
publicly into the mire ...

PS After about move 20 methinks even A M Scott could've won it with 3D glasses
on ... while standing on his head ;)
