Omid,

Depends on your hardware.  I do this all the time but simply import the games
directly into a new Classic opening book (.bkt) format.  It also depends on what
length in plies you have chosen to import.  I would say a couple hours depending
on my questions.

Some advice, get rid of all games that are draws and by weak players.  This
should cut the size considerably.
