Lack of knowledge about position is not only disadvantage against humans but also against computers because if the program knows how to play some type of position that other programs do not know then it can use the knowledge to beat them in games. teaching a program to play better the type of the position that was played against kasparov is one of the ways to make it better against computers and not only against humans.
