I'm sure you'll see the difference between a CC tourney (which _can_ be played
over the internet in theory) and a golf tournament (which _can't_ be played over
the internet) if you think really hard. (consider the remarks in brackets as
hints as a start) If I wanted the same style of answers like in the WCCC2003
thread, I probably would have made a follow-up there though.

Given the fact that WCCC2003 is being held in Europe and the participant list
contains only European entries and two near Europe, I can either conclude that
all the rest of the world is not interested in becoming world champion or all
the rest of the world may have a point. The latter seems likely to me.

While I don't think it's very important for a team like Chessmaster where
exactly WCCC is being held, I can imagine it is for non-commercials. (but maybe
they shouldn't participate in WCCCs anyway?)

Anyway, I created the new thread in order to listen to the POV from the ones who
don't particpate in WCCC2003. I guess I failed.
