It's true, but i remember that there has been some posts hre to say that Deep Blue will get less than 40% of the points against Deep Fritz or Deep Junior. Why have these poeples changed their posts? Is it the bad play by Fritz? Certainly, Deep Blue understanding of chess positions is by far better than it of the other top programs (may Shredder is the only one who could really contest this), but if the fritz or junior engines would run under a machine that's capable of calculating such a huge number of moves per second, the chess mystery problem could be one day solved by the machine. Hopefully, FRC is there. But the humans too have many many things to do to master the FRC.
