Most of us here in CCC agree that in order to find out whether X or Y is stonger
takes _a lot_ of games, especially when their strength is close to each other.

It's amazing what people think about results of 2.5-1.5, 2-2 or 1.5-2.5, when it
comes to human-comps though...

And...

It's not:
-GK doesn't fight for human kind when fighting Fritz
-GK doesn't save the human race when he beats the machine 2.5-1.5
-it's not a victory of the machines when Fritz wins 2.5-1.5
-chess is not rendered useless if Fritz wins
-etc

it is:
-it's simply a commercial event with money and product placement at stake
-fun to watch
-only bearable in ICC with 'set kib 2'
-etc

GK will play computers in such events as long as there's a sponsor. He doesn't
"deserve another chance" or anything like that.
