Well , maybe it was too quickly said , and against Petrov , 3 Nc3 Bb4 is suerely
better but Keres and Bronstein believe that Cochrane gambit is sound ,
and my home analyses tend to confirm it
As for an engine able to play this gambit, you have junior7 ; it's a pity that
it has no successor; one should e-mail to Amir Ban to beg him to give a
successor to junior7 (for junior8 is "something else")
