Richard Lang has been quietly turning the handle, I have been doing initial beta testing to get the obvious bugs out, and he wants more beta testers as per the message here: http://www.chessgenius.com/index.html "ChessGenius Palm goes ARM native. Beta testers wanted. The next update to ChessGenius for the Palm Computing® Platform will include an ARM native chess engine. Up to 20 times faster! Hash tables! 400 ELO stronger! If you are willing to test a beta version please contact richard@chessgenius.com and mention which model Palm device you have." You will be reassured that the minimalistic user interface has undergone only minor changes; the ARM engine is the real change and, if you are feeling relatively stupid, the Dragonball engine stays as an option. (On my relatively slow Zire 71 the nodes per second are still a factor of 8-10 more than the Dragonball engine :) Alastair
