Subject: Mainframe vs PC

I wonder if it would be possible to talk IBM into bringing back Deep Blue
(mainframe) to challenge the latest PC. hardware and software, with the highest
rated PC chess program, Shredder.  IBM, Intel, AMD, Microsoft, X3D, might be
interested in sponsoring such a match. The fastest PC. hardware and newest
software and the highest rated PC. chess program (Shredder) vs IBM's top
Mainframe (with Deep Blue) could be quite exciting! The winner of course gets
all the bragging rights, that there hardware and software is the best.
(that in itself is worth something} And of course, most of us would like to see
Kasparov play the winner.
