I agree with you completely about the moderators. I would never expect any
moderator to act irresponsibly. They have always been good guys as long as I've
been a member here.

The extreme nature of banning people just for fun was only to make a point that
this isn't a place where "equal rights" are relevant (which he was implying).

As far as the moderators banning people, I'm not sure. I seem to remember Mike
Byrne saying that he had to submit a request to the people who run the forum
(Steve?), and that they were the ones that had to do a permenant ban. I'm not
sure if this is correct though. I guess if they want us to know exactly how it
all works and who has what powers, they can tell us :)
