If you are tired of such strong opponents for Gothmog on your Linux machine, why
don't you get (freely downloadable) Gromit 2.20 (pretty strong but weaker than
Crafty, Yace, Pepito or Deep Sjeng and Ruffian - both commercial now -), or,
even better, as you wish a bit weaker engine, get Fortress or Cilian for Linux.
Both latter are intellegent but beatable programs. If you can't find them on the
net, please feel free to email me and I'll send them over :-).

On second thought you might as well get Beowulf, or Colchess for Linux ... Or
GK... or...
