The "one game challenge" really was meaningless. It would have been _far_
better had the 10-game match be played out, because unfortunately it has
added a new "urban legend" by leaving the perception that 10x speed meant
little.

A word of importance. I _rarely_ enter into such a contest without having
a _good_ idea of how things will go. :) I have participated in multiple
such "handicap" events, but I simply don't post the results as that causes
long threads that accomplish nothing.

But I'm always willing to either participate directly on ICC, or whatever,
if someone wants to test a hypothesis, particularly one I don't believe is
true. A "few" would like to perpetuate the myth that the commercial programs
are simply "way beyond" the amateur programs. I'm a big fan of the "myth
busters" on the discovery channel. This is a good myth to debunk. They are
no doubt better, but they are not _that_ much better, regardless of claims,
posturing, etc...
