Hi Mike! thank you for responding. alot of people find his reviews enjoyable. I do not criticize his review. I criticize his post here. I worked in sales for many years-- and if it walks like a duck and talks like a duck...that should be enough. 8 links to the same website within a post is a solid clue. Demanding that anyone read ancilliary propaganda to raise a claim of spamming is too high a bar to set. And there are no guarantees that this person won't add advertisements to his reviews as he is clearly looking for some kind of sponsorship based on style and tone. Any post organized around prices and shopping is sales promotion without regard to whether it promotes dedicated handhelds or other giftware. Perhaps the poster naively took a sales template out of a book of business letters in order to make an effective post here. The issue in my mind (yeah in my mind) is whether we want this board filled with chess programming discussions or a surfeit of sales literature koshered just enough so that it cannot be immediately banned. We are opening a very ugly door here.
