Adding a couple of books that you can work trough together: 'Winning Chess: Play Winning Chess', 'Winning Chess Strategies' and 'Winning Chess: Tactics' by GM Yasser Seirawan with Jeremy Silman. It is basic stuff combined with fairly advanced subjects. But it is all explained in a very understandable and practical way. MvH Dan Andersson
