Why "self-attack" yourself and make it easier for black to open lines to your king? For simple suggestions, you could "pass" and play Nc6, retreating back to d4 after the queen moves. Or you could try e5. But something tells me to not advance in front of my king when my opponent's king is not on that side of the board. Was your score saying you were losing there? Mine's not convincing for either side at that point (move 20 for white).
