At the 2000 WMCCC at Alexandria Palace in London, I borrowed an Alpha processor based m/c from Compaq - making the Crafty team the only entrant with a 64 bit processor that year. The main thing I gained was increased biceps. The processor was INCREDIBLY heavy. One had to park half a mile away from the palace, and I bought my mom a garden trolley as a present, and immediately borrowed it to move this processor about. I felt guilty, because when I gave it her back, it was completely bent in the centre. Before the event, I could wrap my hand around my biceps. I've never been able to since (I do weight training now as well). Vincent, who was a smoker (and still might be), was unable (or unwilling) to help me move my monsterous box. -g >TJF > > >On November 23, 2003 at 20:31:39, margolies, marc wrote: > >>that smile! is it the Mona Lisa ? >>http://www.chessbase.de/Nachrichten/bilder2003/2003graz/tag2/VincentDiepeveenand500processors.jpg
