I compiled one version of my program using g++ and VC6 and g++ blew it away.
Like over 2x faster. I haven't tried other versions. TSCP gave similar numbers,
IIRC. VC6 is like 5 or 6 years old by now. Surely even gcc is on par with it in
terms of speed now, and it is much more compliant, and of course it's free :-)
