What a beautiful machine. I just got it today and have already started to fool around with it. My question is about the rating system build into this computer. Whenever I resign a game to be rated, my rating goes up. Whenever I allow myself to be checkmated, my rating goes up. I lost 10 quick games, and my rating went from 1400 to about 1920. When I am checkmated, I push the keys *2'nd option* then *rating* then *pawn* to enter the result, and the rating goes up. When I resign, I push the keys *2'nd option* then *rating* then *bishop* to resign the game and have it rated, and the rating goes up. Does anyone's star diamond malfunction in this way? Does yours work correctly? I'm playing 40moves in 10 minutes, but allow myself to be mated or I resign after the computer leaves its opening book.
