I believe this is due to the fact, that most americans are not ready to critical evaluate the role which played the US-Army in history (no offense intended it's just a guess, maybe you can tell me the true cause). In my opinion this role is very mixed and there are bright but also dark sides in the history of the actions of the US-Army. If someone would send me an email with dead german soldiers in Afghanistan I would start to think if our intentions to participate in the military actions in Afghanistan are really unselfish and helpful or not. I actually think it is right to participate but I can imagine that others don't think so and that there are many facts that question the good intentions of Germans to participate in such military actions in Afghanistan. That would be even more true if we were engaged in a war, which we started against the will of the majority of the people and nations and with falsified and exaggerated facts. regards Joachim
