The problem is that a dictatorship is the logical conclusion of centrally
controlled production.  Someone (the government) needs to set the level of
production.  From this flows a dictatorship and every 'communist' state has
ended up as a dictatorship - so to say it's an oxymoron is just trying to be
"clever" when in reality it's just looks stupid.

It's more than "commonly thought" it's what has happened to every communist
country.
