First look at the top of this page. The computer chess resource page. It
contains lots of links to pages about chess programming. Go to each page, print
it all out read it and then begin.
When I first started to write a chess program it was because I simply could not
find any related materal or coding so I just started writing subroutines to move
the different types of pieces. Before long I realize that I had most of the
coding done and only needed a driver.
Of course, over the years I have rewritten the program over and over and will
probably do it some more. It is like an addiction, you just can't quit.
Good luck
Bill
