No, that is NOT the reason it is offensive. The overall geopolitical history is
one thing, but making light of or rejoicing in anyone's death is tasteless,
classless, and utterly reprehensible. It is even more disgusting when done by
allies. Anyone who thinks it is a legitimate form of protest is simply a
low-class moron. I would not make fun of dead Iraqis either, not even Saddam
loyalists, and it would be unthinkable to make light of the deaths of German
soldiers, French, etc., regardless of my political views.
